Energy Performance Certificates

An Energy Performance Certificate, otherwise known as an EPC, provides an energy rating for a house, commercial or public building.

As accredited domestic and commercial energy assessors Ashtton Associates not only provide all sectors with EPC's we also ensure that all of our designs are to the highest possible energy rating which is all done in house so there is no need for you to waste time and money getting your energy assessment done elsewhere, we produce these for you along with the designs and at the most competitive price possible.

All newly constructed houses must have an EPC when they are sold, leased or let.

The EPC provides a rating of the properties energy efficiency and displays this as a bar chart, similar to those found on kitchen appliances.

The construction of the building – the materials used, the insulation values of the various components that make up the external envelope, the space heating devices, lighting and renewable energy sources are all components involved in the Evaluation of the buildings energy performance.

Rated on a scale of A-G, with A being the most energy efficient, the EPC gives an indication of the energy costs of the building per year.
